June is turning out to be a busy month for the FMRI programme. It is one week since our Lead Scientist, Katy Hill, was hosted by the National Oceanography Centre as part of the NOC Association of Marine Science National Capability Beneficiaries Annual Meeting. It was a valuable opportunity to look at the Science Requirements Framework (SRF) with current users of the NERC National Marine Facilities Infrastructure. Then on Friday, our Grand Challenge Champions held the first in our new series of virtual Grand Challenge meetings. This meeting covered strengthening Resilience to Natural Hazards and Extreme Events. And the opportunities to engage with the SRF this month are not ending there. There are further Grand Challenge virtual meetings booked for the 17th June (Climate, Blue Economy, Pollution) and 21st June (Biodiversity). Then there will be the last in our series of national Roadshow Workshops being held in London on 25th June. There is still time to register for these virtual meetings. Make your voice heard. It is not only our science stakeholders that FMRI is engaging with. Last Tuesday, our Programme Director, Kristian Thaller, presented to staff from across Sonardyne's global commercial presence. He explained how FMRI aspires to create a research ecosystem that works in partnership with industry to push the frontiers of science. This week he is on my to the British Antarctic Survey to speak about the strategic importance of FMRI at the NERC Tech Forum and have discussions with BAS staff about the opportunities for alignment and cooperation.

This week the programme has also launched a LinkedIn Group that will provide another route to receiving updates from the programme as we seek to expand our reach beyond the website, X (@fmri_nerc), our subscription newletters and other mailing lists. So make your voice heard. Join the conversation. #FMRI
